Before this trip I didn’t know what it is like to be hungry and not able to afford food. Norway is expensive even for Germans and Danes, not mentioning young Polish people. It is amazing, that for exactly same things you have to pay there at least three times more. Bread 2,5€, pack of cigarettes 10€, 1,5l bottle of water 2€. You have to pay even for parking place under the flat you live in (9€ per day). In such situation big popularity of bicycles is not surprising, especially because the web of bicycle routes is well developed. Pros of bicycles are obvious. We found a few more similarly practical solutions. The one I like most is a device which is turning on green light for pedestrians. On each of those you can find symbols, readable for the blind people, informing you how the street you want to cross look like. So simple, and can make life easier. Same as convex bus station plan, roof over bike stand, device to pump bike tires on gas station, and a few more, none of each I have seen in Poland.
