Our next destination is Santiago de Compostella- the legendary town of St James. The cathedral is said to contain the relics of the apostle, and therefore Santiago is oversaturated with pilgrims. The vivid groups fill the narrow streets of the old town, the little souvenir-shops and cafes. To run away from the crowd we have to climb a little bit, as Santiago, just like most of the towns in this region, is surrounded with hills. We walk into one of the green parks in the suburbs, from where we could admire the nice panoramic viwew of the city.
This is one of our last trips in Galicia, and one of last in our expedition at all. Allthought we did not expected it, it seems that backpacks and camera are heavier. Seems like we gradualy start missing stabilisation.
